Who looks after your information

What we collect

When you request a stay, we may collect your name, email address or phone number, preferred dates, emergency contact and the information you choose to share about your dog, including age, weight, routine, health, medication and behaviour.

We also keep your choices about sharing dog photos and receiving optional email updates. Please share only information relevant to your dog’s care.

Why we use it

We use booking information to answer your request, assess compatibility, prepare a quote, agree the stay and care for your dog safely. This processing is necessary to take steps at your request before a booking and, where relevant, to provide the agreed service.

We share photos publicly or send marketing emails only when you have separately chosen the relevant optional permission. You can change your mind at any time.

Where information is stored and shared

Booking requests are stored in the website’s protected hosting database and sent to Dogs with Gerda through a private Telegram notification. Information is available only to people who need it to arrange or provide your dog’s care and to the technical services used to operate the website and communications.

We do not sell your personal information or share it with other businesses for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep booking information only for as long as reasonably necessary to handle your request, manage an agreed stay, maintain an existing client relationship or meet applicable record-keeping obligations. Optional newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.

Email updates and photographs

Newsletters are optional and are never a condition of booking. If you opt in, your email may be used for occasional updates, available dates and Dogs with Gerda offers. You can unsubscribe by replying to an email or writing to dogswithgerda@gmail.com.

Permission to publish photographs or videos of your dog is also optional and can be withdrawn by contacting us.

Cookies and anonymous website statistics

We remember your chosen language on your device so the website remains easy to use. We also count anonymous actions, such as page views, booking steps, selected service types and completed requests. These counters do not store your name, email address, IP address, advertising identifier or a cross-site tracking cookie.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to access, correct or erase your personal information, request a restriction, object to direct marketing, withdraw optional consent or request a copy where applicable. Contact dogswithgerda@gmail.com.
